THINK Foundry
The THINK Foundry will enrich the network with new knowledge. The foundry will provide:
- Support for researchers and practitioners to systematically work together to develop, submit and win new funding in research
- Support to use research in policy and practice by holding workshops with key stakeholders aimed at maximising impact
THINK Academy
The THINK Academy will enhance the network by increasing knowledge and skills in transport and health. The academy will provide summaries of research findings and other materials designed to support knowledge and growth of THINK, a website, seminars every few months and an annual conference. It will support training of professionals new to transport and health, including:
- An annual continual professional development workshop
- Bespoke training support
- Systematic mentoring scheme with experienced researchers https://think.aber.ac.uk/think-mentor-scheme/
THINK Participate
THINK Participate will develop professional and public understanding of the relationships between transport and health.
Participate will foster collaboration by supporting mini-research secondment opportunities for people from research to work in policy, or practice.
Participate will provide the same opportunities for people from policy and practice in academic settings.
Participate will involve the public through interactive roadshows, research and accessible policy summaries, and participatory methods that could include storytelling, film, photography, go-along interviews, or monitoring air pollution or road safety, for example.
THINK’s participatory approach will help to prioritise key issues and to involve people in developing the policies that will impact the future of their community, health, wellbeing, and mobility.
